As the debate rages over illegal immigrants, the federal government is quietly escalating its effort to get rid of them. Recently KSL News flew with several of these so-called criminal aliens as they were deported back to Mexico.

Organizations serving people in need are the major recipients of $11 million in grants announced this week by the Daniels Fund, a foundation that is the legacy of Bill Daniels, a decorated fighter pilot in World War II who went on to became a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need.
